Follow YOUR Dream!

I am a proponent of not existing but living, but also appreciating the talents of others which I cannot find in myself. It is not hard to find excellence and passion if one takes the time to look around for it. On a regular basis I find the quality or potential in most everyone I encounter, even if they don’t recognize their excellence and virtue. Several years ago I can across a young woman with so much potential it was startling. Her name was Brianna McCarthy, the embodiment of talent and feminine and strength. What more is there to day except the short interview I had with her.

Check out her Art Her Passion.

Emmitt Muckles:Tell me what inspires you in your art?
Brianna McCarthy: I do a lot of work that focuses on our relationship with technology and the idea of us eventually merging with it completely: the inorganic and organic being fused.

Emmitt Muckles: What was the thought process behind your creation?

Brianna McCarthy: Thinking, in our digital world, at what point aren’t we human anymore? Will we all have “mods” one day (hello Johnny Mnemonic…and most sci-fi films)? This often leads me to robots and cyborgs (naturally). The imagery of wires and circuit boards and all that techie stuff is really appealing to me alongside the human form.

Emmitt Muckles: Where do you envision your art being on public display?

Brianna McCarthy: I was actually browsing through the shirts on when the thought crept in that I wanted a robot shirt (I have this thought fairly regularly).

Emmitt Muckles: I know from experience and idea is just a starting point, then other external ideas add to the process, did you experience such a situation. It seem you took a little inspiration as did Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Madonna and a host of other women artist from the movie Metropolis with the character Maschinenmensch.

Brianna McCarthy : Having looked through a number of art history books that week, robot venus jumped into my head. I’m a Botticelli fan and “the birth of Venus” illustrates the birth/creation of a being who was also a symbol of creation (goddess of love, beauty, sex, fertility…). It was the right piece to be mechanized because of the themes of creation and birth. Eventually assembly and birth could be very similar concept for the human race.

Emmitt Muckles: What is next in your creative Mind?

Brianna McCarthy: Oh, and I have been itching to do something in an art nouveau style

Emmitt Muckles: What is the physical process for your creation?

Brianna McCarthy: Technique? I sketched her out, scanned her into the computer, then inked and colored her in adobe illustrator and photoshop.

A picture is worth a 1000 emotions

They say words are powerful, and can cause the creation of worlds, but i don’t think words can match the power of a single picture to reveal the truth in our lives.

Even though the most deceiving tool we as humans have at our disposal is our eyes, these light gathering devices can help push us in a need direction of change when gauging ourselves. How many people have you ever heard state the reason they became conscious of their health and remained committed after seeing a picture of the physical change noted after seeing a picture of themselves. Seeing ourselves in a physical mirror can be and is a measure in deception. Mirrors are too limiting and display a level of realtime bias based on our state of mind and chemical/emotional brain state. The other measure our human brains have a problem with is gauging very slow change. For instance, I had not how much I have changed since I initially got married until I revisited my wedding video. OMG!!! I was one skinny being, my skin was so different.

Every few years I am caught off guard by seeing a picture with my gut prominently requiring more real estate than I am humanly comfortable representing in the physical world. What ensues next is my half assed attempt to exercise more, which I accomplish and either get too thin to where I abandon the effort to find the right picture size.

I am not a HUGH human, but body image or body perception counts for a great deal in our society, sad but so dam true. What is a human to do?
So I pledge to find the right weigh (197lbs ~204lbs water weight accounted for) to live my life.

I have to use more than my eyes to gauge my appearance and changes in life.

Bigger ain’t always better.

When we were children there were people we literally looked up to, because they were, in our eyes larger than life. This is also the American philosophy. In the last 80 or so years it became our mantra. Be First, Be the biggest , be the baddest ( in a good way, Until Bush # 2) in everything we are.  The problem occurred when we forgot about the cost associated with being the biggest. It takes effort to keep up the front.

For years I lifted weights to put some man size of my former 150 ~ 160 lb frame ( top out at about 215~217, that’s almost 70lbs..OMG). There is one thing about gaining the muscle, I lost my flexibility, due to my concentration on being bigger. This same scenario has happened in our society too. BIG house, big card etc, yada yada yada.

After realizing how limited my range of motion has been hampering me lately I decided to do something about it. So let me proclaim my intentions, This is not a new years resolution either.

  • Ability to place my palms on the floor from a straight legged bent stance. ( can’t even touch my shoes,OH LORD PLEASE!)
  • Able to do Chinese split (GIVE ME STRENGTH)
  • ability to do backwards rollover into a hand stance.  (Pray for me)
  • get through 35 minute yoga or stretching routine in great form. ( I got health care so I’m good)
  • And last but not least drop down to 185 ~190 lbs (that’s hot). (Just say no to the Grape drink)

I have come to learn in various aspects, bigger is not always better. Most often just right is better than too much.

Acquiring the philosophy of SIMPLE seems to be the best way to live. Learning how having excess prevents many of us from living SIMPLE.

Here comes another list folks.

  • Too many people around you for no reason—Drama = NOT SIMPLE.
  • Having too much credit -Drama =NOT SIMPLE
  • Concerned about other peoples business and not just your own – DRAMA = NOT SIMPLE (IMMA DO ME, U DO YOU)
  • Not listening to what Life is telling you to do cause it seems hard -DRAMA = Not SIMPLE

If you live simply, below your means, you can have a Better experience which is more enjoyable than a Bigger experience.

So it’s time to at least TRY taking care of you MIND, BODY and SOUL. Which I feel is our own personal trinity. (BIBLE REFERENCE)

Be Blessed

Men Are Stupid…..and people want it that way.

Joan Rivers Rocks, at least for now.

Every where you look, TV, Internet, magazines, billboard, you name it. You will see the  stupid male figure portrayed as normal.  Television sitcoms, reality shows and the like give men in general a bad name.

Let me start with the proliferation of reality shows on television.  Particularly Tool Academy, Flavor of Love, Rock Of Love, and let’s not forget the love Ray-Jay. DESPERATION dressed up as normal.

If you were an alien learning about our culture from the various signals beamed into the cosmos, it would be a bleak representation of who we are as an evolved being. As an alien who decided to experience the culture first hand, it would not be hard to figure out how you would want to assimilate into the civilized culture of earth based and the information you have acquired from out media.

You would probably choose to be a woman, because men are portrayed as simpletons.

By the way, Kudo’s to Joan Rivers.

The Divine Power Of Feminine: WOMAN!

From the earliest stages of  life, there is one constant that stand out as being present to any individuals ; The  Feminine, Woman, Mother, Grandmother.

There is nothing closer to the Divine on earth as the physical presence of Woman. Everything a man does in his life is to garner the attention of a woman. He buys clothes, grooms himself, purchases a home,  builds a career, even the first car he purchases is to make an impression on a woman.

Remember there was a time when men would have to basically compete for women. Men had to prove they were able to provide and be of substance to obtain a woman to help them in this journey of life. That practice seems to be fading away. Now it is common to see men going to a strip club for the faux appearance of having a woman in their life. This attitude has permeated our psyche of American culture. Television show such as “The Tool Academy”  Bentley Farnsworth’s  “From G’s to Gents” and a host of other shows indicate the attitude of men have fallen way off the scale, even it it is graded on a bell curve.

It seems to me that something has been lost. The feminine is not held on the plateau they once once occupied. In an effort to become regarded as equal to men something was lost in translation.  Woman’s standard for Man has dropped, ( here comes the catch 22), therefore men have taken the easy route. It is easier to jump a twelve inch hurdle than a ten foot hurdle, so why try to just the ten foot mark.

I am a adult male above the age of thirty. I can attribute much of who I am as a person to the collective of Woman. I learned how to communicate , read, groom, socialize and become a function part of society for the most part from the women in my life, most of which I learned before the age of 13.

Women make this world in more ways  than one. Women bring life to this planet, not only do they bring life to this planet but they can nurture any life they did not create from their own seed, which naturally is an obstacle for men on this planet. Meaning; it is difficult for a man to rear a child that he does not have biological ties with, it is found in most male species of the animal kingdom. The difference with men versus beast is our higher emotional and reasoning abilities. It still stands to reason;   Women are the most important facet in the evolution and propagation of this planet.

Let’s say for example there was a machine that hovered on the planet and created life, but produced only men. That machine would have to be so busy and efficient producing men. The reason; because men would just cause total chaos to be relevant, killing each other at an alarming rate for control, falling out of trees and playing in mud to build something to be admired for. You get the picture.  Basically it would be similar to the modern American prison system.

Women create the balance in the masculine energy. Woman is the counter balance to man, women are closer to the Divine creator than man could ever attempt. Woman is present creating full life, nurturing the possibilities with love and compassion, and understanding the Infinite Possibilities of this human existence.

Woman sheds blood for her flock and the ability to create(Divine connection).

Women are wrestling with the prospect of being equal to a man. To me that is back sliding, without examination exactly what that means equal rights. First woman must understand that they hold all the cards. A woman with good game can make most men do her bidding. Women are still the only species who can be “taken care of ” for her entire existence, by a man. A kept man is still considered a sign of a weak individual, or a pimp.

In an equal relationship men and women have equal say in matters of their combined life. Let’s examine if this relationship is severed. Typically a male will have to give compensation to the female, especially if children  are involved. Unless predetermined a man will be required to relinquish a portion of his assets, which includes control. If a woman deems a man  unfit to be present in the life of her children….done deal, he’s out. The opposite is rare unless a man can clearly prove a woman is an unfit parent, or a male has goo gobs of money. Because society understand the Divine nurturing aspects of Woman. Momma’s baby, Daddy’s maybe.

There are so many disjointed thoughts in this post because I  clearly see the Divine power of woman. I truly believe if women really had a grasp on how special they are as beings and lived in that divine light our culture would prosper a thousand fold in a short period of time. In an upcoming post I will delve into why women have been deprogrammed from their true Divine path. It’s all about the struggle of power.

Women are beings of Divine Power, prove me wrong.
